Michael Vick added another honor to a career already full of them in 2026, taking his place in the Virginia Sports Hall of Fame. The induction is a homecoming of sorts for a player whose roots in the Commonwealth run deep, from Newport News to Blacksburg.
It follows his 2025 selection to the College Football Hall of Fame, a nod to the seasons at Virginia Tech that made him a national phenomenon and reset expectations for what a quarterback could be.
The timing is fitting. Vick is now coaching less than an hour from where he grew up, and the recognition lands while he is building something new at Norfolk State.
